he is surely the best Greco wrestler all time and he confirmed it once again.

Better than Karelin?

If the lights light up exactly at the correct moment, he was definitely first, since his light went on first. Not sure if those lights are 100% accurate though?

without doubt

but well, we can consider Karelin as the best male Greco wrestler ever, because Lopez is probably not even human.

That's heartbreaking for the Indian girl, she was by far the better wrestler before the injury.

Could it have been avoided by running around the mat with a 8-1 lead and 33 seconds on the clock?

of course not, you will get a caution immediately for doing that.

I watched this match, really heartbreaking .

Lopez is simply unbeatable. he is just not human, I knew nobody can beat him but still tried to be positive and gave Mirzazadeh some chances to challenge him and I think he tried his best. that's the best you can do against Lopez. nobody even scored against Lopez since 2008 at the Olympics!

Lopez knew he already won the gold after beating his only possible opponent, that's why he was happy after the win. SF and final will be too easy for him.

Lopez lost 3 matches since 2005 and everybody knew he lost on purpose, he never really lost a match since 2004 QF vs Baroev which he lost narrowly. he is surely the best Greco wrestler all time and he confirmed it once again. I won't be surprised if he tries his luck again in LA. he is not human after all.

both of our wrestlers today simply lost to better wrestlers, no complain but still it feels bad to lose again, even in our favorite sport :( I hope Mirza wins the bronze tomorrow which I think he will (probably easily) we badly need a medal of any color.

Why do you say he lost on purpose?

that's common knowledge in wrestling community , Cuban wrestlers sold lots of matches before in the World Championship (never at the Olympics)

feel free if you want to think Kayaalp and Baroev really beat him in those 3 matches though. he was well paid to make people believe that

This is pathetic

Acosta did nothing the entire day. absolutely nothing, yet he is going to the final by doing nothing. by being more passive and receiving the first caution (which means winning the match 1-1)

5 years and they still didn't change this rule
