Yeah, everything for the Americans, but it's a shame for the event. Mornings don't have that special finals atmosphere

Just casually stepped on the line and fouled a more than excellent first throw. That is such a rookie mistake.

If I were coach I’d be betting my athletes to NEVER do that just for that reason. Terrible habit to get into.

 

Also: heptathletes badly need to work on their post-throw bellowing & hollering. Everyone knows it adds those crucial last few centimetres to the distance.
