Entry lists for World Cup I in Varese are available online:

2024 World Rowing Cup I - World Rowing

Makes a nice change for the first event in the season to have such a strong field.

:GBR sending 45 rowers with pretty much their entire A-squad going. Good to see Graeme Thomas back in the mix although would be good to see him in M1x as he's probably our best chance of getting the quota at the final qualification regatta.

Ireland isn't sending our lightweights but the selections made in the open weights are interesting

Sunita Puspure is back in the single after doubles in 2022 and fours in 2023

The four, yet to qualify for Paris, has two of the Tokyo medalists in Hegarty and Lambe joined by Long and Magner.

"The highest placing boat from a country receives 8 points, the second highest 6 points" etc

What is that all about? Wouldn't one assume that in a given category, the winner of said category receives maximum points, no matter what nation they're from? Maybe she's explaining it wrong in the video, maybe (most likely) I'm misunderstanding it, but it sounds rather silly :p

lots of positive performances by GBR this morning; coming 1-2 in the women's 4 with a dominating win over NED particularly eye catching with GBR-2 going in the womens 8 final later this morning.

Should be strong contenders in Paris in a number of boats.
