Quota for :CAN Josipa Kafadar in women’s -49kg :hyper::yikes::yikes::yikes:

Taekwondo Canada, I take that back :p

It was a smart move to take Kafadar in this event as opposed to the athlete who beat Kraayeveld

Taaekwondo Canada didn’t select their three best athletes, so I can’t say I’m expecting anything here. Hoping for at least one semifinal.

Please never stop making predictions :D

I don’t agree. I feel like I’ve underestimated Leonarda Andric as I don’t know much about her but she’s actually a quality fighter and it wasn’t that much of an upset. Of course, I would’ve preferred Kraayeveld should they have selected women’s -67kg as one of Taekwondo Canada’s weightclasses but I’d think she’d have a solid chance at a quota as long as she wasn’t on the same half as Soltero. She’s had a good record since going pro in 2017. Kafadar “winning” a quota was a HUGE surprise, she wasn’t expected to be amongst the contenders, and the Colombian athlete was robbed anyways IMO.

Not a fan of the passivity warning after the bell?

(I honnestly don't know enough about taekwondo officiating to have any clue if it was warranted or not)

    • this is not funny at all, pal
    • I think I can live with the draw , not a bad group at all. just a week ago our mafia coach said his dream group is Belgium, Egypt and Haiti, he almost got that !   but it's really hard for me (and so many others) to cheer for this team, A mafia boss coach, disgusting group of players. I never had this feeling about any NT in any sport before but still the national team is the national team. you have to like it  coaches and players come and go, the team is what matters.   if the team makes it to the competition, I'm sure there will be lots of Iranians in the stadium despite the orange's ban, that will never be a problem.
    • Belgium is the luckiest in this story
    • One of the worst possible draw for us. Group really easy but having to face  or  in the Round of 32 is devastating.
    • Always dreamed Gretzky will draw Slovakia was another moment I can already remove from my things to do before die list
    • Finland have been awful in almost all winter sports, well beside ice hockey and cross-country from time to time, for a lot of years. It's very good to see them building people to challenge for wins again. Their new coach has done wonders it seems.
    • 14th June in Philadelphia against Cote d´Ivoire   20th June inToronto against Curacao   and 25th June in Philadeplphia to kick out  home    Not easy, but not the most difficult group. Should be okay. Vamos
