The fuck happened with the skis of Strømsheim and Christiansen? This was just unreal, especially Christiansen has shown he is in very much a decent shape...

Edit: some rain later on, so a classic 'bib number race'...zero chance at all for anyone with a slighly higher bib.

Only man to shoot 20/20 was :KOR Aleksandr Starodubets.  Now, as with Kapustova a couple of weeks ago, he already has something famous named after him!

[OK, obscure slavic joke, but his name literally means "Old Oak Tree."]

Tomorrow, at mixed relay we will have basically three Russian teams, under Romania, Moldova and South Korea flag

Edit. Also Greece and Australia will start :cheer:

But the Norwegians with the higher numbers were especially bad. There were several starters with a higher numbers, who ran faster, and who are normally not even close to them in the track. Tomas Mikyska from Czechia finished 10th with exactly the same number of mistakes than Christiansen, and he had a higher BiB. And it wasn't because of the shooting time either, it was because he ran faster.

Yeah Lagreid also seemed out of shape. However, those two were slow even in comparison

Fun race to watch.  Great tactics by Vittozzi on the last hill.  I was hoping that Irwin would hang onto 4th, but they were in the picture for a long time.  Great race for them!

Yeah, that's what I meant, it was not like they had a bad race in terms of shape...

    • I have reported this again and they said it should be fixed now, please let me know if you are still facing issues.
    • more countries added to the list of US ban    you can't travel to USA if you are from : burkina faso , niger , Laos , South sudan , mali , sierra leon ...
    • Yes, but what I mean for Serbia is that everything changed there (unfortunately for us ). 2022 was an unbelievable mess, that's not the case anymore now with just one athlete who has really gone for it and made it, so I'm 99% sure they'll accept it this time.   Who knows though. Plus there's always 1-2 bigger countries here or there who reject something, but it's not gonna be 16 places I'm afraid
    • Doping by Event Type When we look at which events have the most doping cases, a few categories stand out from recent sanction records: Long Distance (3,000m and above): 32% of cases Sprints (400m or less): 24% of cases Jumps: 12% of cases Javelin: 8% of cases Middle Distance (800m–1,500m): 8% of cases Hammer: 8% of cases Steeplechase (3,000m SC): 4% of cases
    • From 2020 to 2025    These three countries alone make up almost two-thirds (61.9%) of all current doping violations in athletics worldwide. It’s worth noting that 199 of World Athletics’ 214 member federations have no athletes on the current ban list. This means the problem is really concentrated in a small number of places. Here’s a look at the top countries: Rank Country Total Violations Percentage Region 1 Kenya 119 24.74% Africa 2 India 108 22.45% Asia 3 Russia 73 15.18% Europe 4 China 26 5.40% Asia 5 Turkey 20 4.16% Europe 6 Italy 18 3.74% Europe 7 South Africa 18 3.74% Africa 8 Ukraine 17 3.53% Europe 9 United States 16 3.33% North America 10 Morocco 15 3.12% Africa
