Summer Olympic Games Paris 2024 Olympic Houses

Recommended Posts

For those who are travelling to Paris. It has always been a great activity to select a free day and take an Olympic House Tour or just visit some during the games at any time. In the Olympic Houses we can meet athletes, experience the country's customs, food, alcohol, history, sports etc. Let's share here information about Olympic Houses. I suppose there might be around 40 Olympic Houses as for the first time in the history should be Polish Olympic House and maybe even China Olympic House. I will keep one post pinned to the top with information about each country's Olympic house, especially address, entrance fee and other important information.

There not a lot of imformations yet, but as it is a tradition (we had our Olympic house every Games since Sydney 2000) there will be a one also in Paris ofc.

The only officially known information is it will be in one famous (not revealed) touristic part of the city, should have one of the biggest spaces in comparison with all our previous Olympic Houses. Apparently another more than 20 National Houses are expected to build their house in this location as well and the Olympic flame is schedulled to run right infront of our house the Opening Ceremony day... that´s all I found so far :p

In matter of money, money, money... Nearly 1 and Half million EUR the :SVK Olympic House will cost this time

https://www.olympic.sk/clanok/pariz-2024-financovanie-reprezentantov

The estimated expenses for ensuring the preparation and participation of Slovak athletes for and at the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris are to 3,156,500 euros. The estimated costs of the rewards for placing Slovak athletes have been tentatively set at 820,000 euros, The budget also includes funds in the amount of 1,450,000 euros for the operation of the Slovak House.

Here is a link for all those who want to travel around the Olympic Houses. Within a time, I will be adding there addresses of other Olympic Houses and other venues, such as places of some sponsors that are opened for public, before there used to be Samsung House, Alibaba House, etc.

Typical that Ireland just picked a random pub somewhere in the city and called it a day as far as the search for an Olympic house goes :d

    • I`m a traditionalist and I like alpine skiing competitions in the morning hours, illuminated by the sun In ski jumping this is practically non-existentthis in contrast the early 21st century (It's nice that at least there's Planica at the end of every season). There are also traditional competitions under artificial lights, like in Schladming or Madonna di Campiglio. There's no need to do the same thing everywhere as in ski jumping. Alpine skiing finals are rarely super exciting, because usually everything is clear and the skiers are tired from the long season. Finals were often canceled, so this year it was okay for me. If someone wanted a spectacle, that's what the Olympics Games or the World Cup in Kitzbuchel.

    • Baffling scheduling again. It's like FIS want to drive people away.    It's the Finals, on paper your big conclusion to the season, yet it feels like "let's get this over with". Just compare how the ATP treat their finals with this.   Ok, you want to have the GS & SL on Tuesday/Wednesday. That's fine, i've been advocating for more mid-week starts to begin with. But why, oh why do you have them in the middle of the day, on a work week.  Why aren't you having them in the evening, in prime time, when people are off work. Make it a big special event, which people want to visit and not during the day in front of a 100 fans. It's not that hard to choose a place with some floodlights.     And even this week we don't have Champion League football, so the night is free from big competition. Perfect opportunity to have alpine skiing on TV right now, but noooo.
