If a boxer qualifies for the Olympics as a member of the refugee team then gets citizenship of another country, do they lose that qualification, does it transfer to their new country or does something else happen. Thinking of Cindy Ngamba, the middleweight who has brilliant this week at the World Boxing Cup for the refugee team, but is also still waiting for her British citizenship. Outside of other factors you allege, I feel like that's what should happen in cases like this. The athlete won the right to go, so they should be allowed to compete for their host nation. I spent a while going down a rabbit hole of trying to figure this out a couple of months ago and I think my conclusion was that they just haven't announced it either way yet although that may have since changed. They haven't seeded any of the qualification tournaments so maybe they just don't although that would gaurantee some very strange medals. My guess is they probably do include seeds and just end up seeding the European/ Asian and American champions along with either the African or Oceanian champion but I don't really have anything to base that on.
