Another new NR for :FRA Samba-Mayela in the women’s 100m hurdles, clocking 12.52 at the Pure Athletics Sprint Elite Meet! @Benolympique

Looking like a real medal threat for the Olympics (this time probably won’t win one, but she’s been PBing left and right and only needs to shave off a couple hundredths or so)

Do you think that would be enough for a medal in Paris?

If I had to guess, probably not, but it could put her in contention if the conditions aren’t the best or a couple of the favourites have an off-day.

I’d say anything sub 12.43 would definitely be guaranteed a medal.

It's been an exciting day for :GBR with just turned 17 year old Phoebe Gill running 1:57.86 in the 800m in Belfast earlier today.

Assuming that the time is ratified it would be the 2nd fastest time in the world by any age group this year, and the 2nd fastest by an U18 ever.

44.05 for :CAN Christopher Morales-Williams in the men’s 400m at the SEC Championships!!  :hyper::yikes::yikes:

@intoronto got the meet wrong before :p

New WL, PB, NR (as mentioned), and would’ve won gold at the last two World Championships, and silver at Tokyo 2020.

    • This could be the last ever Paralympics. Come 2028 it might well not be held because the IPC has split in two. That’s one legacy for Andrew Parsons.    He could simply ignore CAS or even withdraw the IPC from them. Unless he is worried about falling from his hotel room window or is being blackmailed.
    • The Netherlands has decided to cancel its hosting of the 2026 European Paralympic Swimming Championships due to the participation of Russian and Belarusian athletes under their own flags, ad.nl reported on February 25. The Dutch Swimming Federation (KNZB) made this decision after consultations with government ministries, including the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport, which confirmed the withdrawal.
