Well, it's not a lie :p

It's also not a fact, it's "scoreboard journalism"...looking at stats and stats only. Of course there's no road cyclist or weightlifter or something who has 19 gold medals..

Most medals winning Olympian obviously, but greatest? I very much disagree on that.

Well it's difficult for a sport like Tennis or boxing or Judo to equal This record They only win 1 medal:d So i agree with you yes he is very good but i don't think he is the greatest also.

Just found this forum- thank goodness! hope you don't mind an Australian being here.

Has been a great couple of days. Loving the newer swinning countries getting some medals. As for us today the less said about Roberts and Magnussen please, they both swam like they had a 3 day bender!

Some of them. Seebolm had an absolute shocker today though, albeit she can't be worse tomorrow in the final.

Canada have been doing well too, punching well above your weight.

Welcome!  Yes, Canadian women (and some men!) are doing very well in the pool.  The best part is most of them are still in high school, so the future is looking bright for our program after decades of despair.

    • I have reported this again and they said it should be fixed now, please let me know if you are still facing issues.
    • more countries added to the list of US ban    you can't travel to USA if you are from : burkina faso , niger , Laos , South sudan , mali , sierra leon ...
    • Yes, but what I mean for Serbia is that everything changed there (unfortunately for us ). 2022 was an unbelievable mess, that's not the case anymore now with just one athlete who has really gone for it and made it, so I'm 99% sure they'll accept it this time.   Who knows though. Plus there's always 1-2 bigger countries here or there who reject something, but it's not gonna be 16 places I'm afraid
    • Doping by Event Type When we look at which events have the most doping cases, a few categories stand out from recent sanction records: Long Distance (3,000m and above): 32% of cases Sprints (400m or less): 24% of cases Jumps: 12% of cases Javelin: 8% of cases Middle Distance (800m–1,500m): 8% of cases Hammer: 8% of cases Steeplechase (3,000m SC): 4% of cases
    • From 2020 to 2025    These three countries alone make up almost two-thirds (61.9%) of all current doping violations in athletics worldwide. It’s worth noting that 199 of World Athletics’ 214 member federations have no athletes on the current ban list. This means the problem is really concentrated in a small number of places. Here’s a look at the top countries: Rank Country Total Violations Percentage Region 1 Kenya 119 24.74% Africa 2 India 108 22.45% Asia 3 Russia 73 15.18% Europe 4 China 26 5.40% Asia 5 Turkey 20 4.16% Europe 6 Italy 18 3.74% Europe 7 South Africa 18 3.74% Africa 8 Ukraine 17 3.53% Europe 9 United States 16 3.33% North America 10 Morocco 15 3.12% Africa
    • Here's my calculations of the quotas. I believe you are correct about Italy having 3 quotas in men's singles.   Men's Singles   3 Quotas: 2 Quotas: 1 Quota:   data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAPABAP///wAAACH5BAEKAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAICRAEAOw==   Women's Singles   3 Quotas: 2 Quotas: 1 Quota:     Men's Doubles   2 Quotas: 1 Quota:     Women's Doubles   1 Quota:
