Yurisleidy Ford of Cuba  10.91 in Hammer  :woot: how? I mean how ?

The hammer probably heavily touched the cage and barely left it ... the other possibility might be that she slipped and "lost" the hammer, but that seems pretty unlikely.

I expected a whole lot more of Chand considering those 2015 hyperandrogenism rules..

While fighting at CAS also, Dutee Chand (and lot of us) knew that she was never going to compete for medals at elite level like Semenya. Her fight was for a chance to compete. She reached her peak in trying to qualify for Olympics. Here, quite possibly occasion got to her and she couldn't come close to her best. Hopefully, she will be allowed to compete in future and she will come back stronger after this.

Schwanitz is a huge disappointment, but not a lost gold.

Really good first day of Schäfer in Hepthatlon.

I agree, so far all of our track and field athletes except for Schäfer, Öser, C. Harting and Klosterhalfen have been disappointing. I am probably a bad fan for saying it, but Klosterhalfen reaching the final would make me happier than any medal Schwanitz ever couldve won and a gold for Krause or Roleder would be more exciting for me than all medals the german throwers could ever win.

    • no, but all the usual Olympic stars of the -57kg class were wrestling here this year (most of them go down to 57kg only at the Olympics and for the qualifiers)
    • In Denmark, this parties are name with only the first letters for some names, or something similar? The parliament there is also similarly fragmented to that in the Netherlands.
    • I just read this now Is this an Olympic event?
    • I don't have much time to search for these today, so I'll post when I do.
    • @Olympian1010 Any luck with finding links of Beach Volleyball, Kabaddi and Teqball today? I cannot find any stream from today right now.
    • Interesting to note both sports are also responsible to find venues to host their sports. No announcement has been made as of yet, so I have to wonder, are they are struggling to find a suitable location?
