World Games 2025

Watching flag football and noticed the Mexican coaches with headsets on. They’re all standing next to each other with the mic positioned up. I don’t think they understand the real purpose of headsets in American football (eye in the sky). Looks like they’re the only coaches using them. Must be for looks 😂

:NED with an excellent job winning the group in women's canoe polo. That means they are basically straight into the semi's, since in the quarter finals they meet China, which scored exactly one goal in the entire group stage and received a whopping 62 goals :d

It was 12-0 at halftime, so yeah, might not become very close :p

Next on the list of commentary fails is the duathlon of today: "Varo just choosing to sit on the shoulder of Alvarez", in the last 50 meters, where :ESP Varo was absolutely dying behind :MEX Alvarez and incredibly clearly was just being sprinted out of it instead of choosing anything :d

Not surprisingly, I believe it is once again the same generic English commentator lady who is the producer of most of the fails and mistakes on the commentary list for Chengdu 2025

OK, USA get runners on but can't advance.   Still playing like a team that thought it was going to be easy......

Get a tying run scored in the third.

Lyonnaise is truly the ugliest and most stupid boules speciality, just a hit and run. And precisely for this reason, it is such a stupid sport that it could be the only speciality with a chance of becoming an Olympic sport

:USA were making it hard for themselves against :CHN in the softball, too much sloppy play, but finally they get the big Grand Slam in the bottom of the fifth and that will be it over soon.

Not really sure what makes the speed climbing 4 format so different. I mean, there's 4 athletes on the wall instead of 2....that's it. The entire format and process is exactly the same, except....there are two more athletes on the wall.

All it really seems to be is simply a potential way to make qualifying go twice as fast. It's like swimming has a 100m freestyle with 8 lanes, and a separate event in an extra wide pool where the 100m freestyle has 16 lanes.

Don't get me wrong, I like speed climbing so I'll gladly watch, but I'm really confused about what they were thinking this would actually add

The only difference is we don't have to see a losing semifinalist with a fall/slip forced to do a bronze medal match while still recouping from the trauma a minute ago :p
