Yesterdays evening was hard in central europe

Google had a massive black out and was down more than 2 hours from 19:45 to 22:00, even I could not log in. Google, maps, gmail, translator and youtube were all down, today they found the reason, apparently the problem happened in the Prague branch and it was apparently so stupid and banal technical error that nobody foresaw it.  :d Googla announced a apologetic statement today.

immediately also started many jokes on the net  many of them in czech or slovak language...but there some also in english like this guys twitter https://twitter.com/struks?ref_src=twsrc^tfw

or this :lol: and many many others...  however I´m really happy they solved the problems :pope:

But just to be clear: it was just Google that was down right? I mean, the rest of the entire internet still functioned? :p

Well yeah, but I was talking about the rest of internet :d

I mean, one can browse the internet perfectly fine without Google, right? I don't know why I wouldn't be able to look on all the forums, news websites and so on :d

It is interesting by the way, to see how incredibly dependent we are on internet nowadays. Imagine the entire internet being down for a day, worldwide...people will die (literally) because of the chaos :p
