So at the end it looks Slovaks like Sports :d Ten thousands of people visited the EYOF Park (All venues and fan zones were within the huge EYOF park) daily

maybe we can host also something else than the hockey worlds or winter universiades in the future. Slovakia - small but stronk :p

After winning 3 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze in Judo, the Dutch team loses the second round of the mixed team tournament to Italy. Real shame. I fear that all our strongest judoka were in the lightest weight classes this time (which is the opposite in our senior team actually).

I have a friend that's in EYOF, helping with managing our delegation, he said everything was organised very well, so not only were the viewers happy, but the athletes, at least on our part, as well :)

and that´s all. Was one Great week of sport and fun, but sadly as everything also this had to end at some point.

Good news is that apparently everything worked well, people involved to the games will return home with good feeling and great memories, some inside the :ITA team with probably more memories and maybe also something more thanks to what they will remember Banská Bystrica :p

So that´s it.

And how to finish this thread else than by the meme of the last week:

"Travel to Slovakia, Good Idea." :hatoff:

I know, this add started to be extremely annoying already at Day 1 of the games for everyone who watched the EYOF. So, yeah, sorry for that

    • Yeah. It was pretty bad that they cancel the contract with the original creative director after 7 months of work. I feel like politics, in this particular context of the changing of prime minister and the cabinet, may had caused changes in organizational decisions regarding the Sea Games including the direction of the opening ceremony.
    • That's what I figured.  Wouldn't be a proper lead up to an Olympics without some media-fueled fearmongering.
