Equestrian qualification is going to be mess this cycle. It has not been cancelled. Results: https://online.equipe.com/en/class_sections/835386 qualified teams. Costa Rica really did go against the odds here, since they were pretty much expected to be last. As for the individual event, it's not over, but based on day 1 results would qualify. Glad to see there were enough entries in this discipline at least. “Sport has the power to change the world. It has the power to inspire. intoronto 4,504 Posted June 29, 2023 #496 Share Posted June 29, 2023 Looks like boxing is open entry, as per QS In view of the fact that the event will be a qualifying for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, all the National Olympic Committees may participate in the Pan American Games and register additional athletes in the categories that they have not qualified for yet, considering the following: • Only one athlete per NOC may participate per weight category. • The athletes must be registered and accredited by their NOC through the Santiago 2023 system and within the dates established for the Pan American Games. • Additional athletes will be accommodated in accordance with the provisions of the boxing policy that can be found on the extranet and in the Chef of Mission Guide. • All the expenses must be covered by the NOC or by the National Federation (airline ticket, accommodation, transportation, meals). • The additional athletes will receive an accreditation for the Pan American Games and if they win a medal, they will be eligible to receive it. Olympian1010 7,571 Posted June 29, 2023 #497 Share Posted June 29, 2023 I think qualification still has some advantages on the logistics and psychological side, but yeah, it’s essentially an open competition since the revisions last year. “Sport has the power to change the world. vinipereira 3,081 Posted June 30, 2023 #500 Share Posted June 30, 2023 will have 43 swimmers. It will be difficult to win 11 gold medals like in 2019, but is the best we have (minus Fratus). Wrestling will have 10 athletes. After 3 medals in each of the last two editions, goal is to win 4 medals. In Skateboarding, a very strong team with Pâmela Rosa/Rayssa Leal and Lucas Rabelo/Kelvin Hoefler (Street), Raicca Ventura and Augusto Akio (Park). biyeta
