4:03.64 and the second fastest time ever for Lambie, who was 1.7 seconds faster than Ganna's WR at the halfway mark, just to make very clear how insane Ganna's race was (he kept on going faster and faster and faster, which is utterly bizarre).

61.5Km/h on average! :yikes::bowdown:

If that were true, he'd have gone well under 4 minutes for 4 kilometers :p

It's the last kilometer's average if I'm not mistaken.

oh, yes...obviously if you don't go below 4 mins on 4 kms you can't be faster than 60km/h...:facepalm:

still, it's always amazing how he goes faster and faster in the later stages of his effort...

p.s. mybe tonight he goes under the 4-min mark...:mumble:

Now we come close to the 4:00 mark even in IP, which has been the magic threshold in Team Pursuit 20 years ago..

In other words: Ganna would have won the Silver medal in Team Pursuit at Sydney 2000 :lol:

Couldn't see the live results so Wild (who got disqualified), made 5 of her opponents fall without falling herself :p

And that asshole move will cost Mexico one Olympic quota.

Thank you very much :NED

Update: after a quick and provisional calculation, Mexico quota will be safe as long as   :HKG :KAZ :LTU :SUI & :UZB riders don't finish 5th or higher in the final standings.

    • Ukraine has made progress recently and lost yesterday on penalties to the UK, but that still doesn't explain why the Italian team isn't making any progress. We are sitting in a lower division for 3 years and that's with a ban for Rus and Blr. New and great coaches are being brought in and it's not giving any results. 8-10 years ago we were regularly playing in the highest division, every 2 years and that was with a much stronger teams (Russia and Belarus were there). I don't know where the problem is.

    • Many things, probably they thought it is already over and the win will come itself... but also Nitra improved their play a lot, they outplayed us in physicality in the last 2 games, they won almost every duel. Was hard to watch. Anyway I am still persuated we will finish the job at home with success on Tuesday
    • If you look at their results this season and on the Super Series, it’s not really that surprising.    I’d consider them to be medal contenders.
    • At one point it seemed we were making good progress in this sport, but in the past 1-2 years things seem to have hit a standstill..   Ivaylo Ivanov is still our only elite judoka, but he is passing 30. There were/are some promising youngsters, but they haven't been able to make a jump to the senior level. At this Euro we barely had any first round wins (not including Ivanov). In fencing and taekwondo the results are much more visible for us.
    • yes, but that's only an (important) episode... I mean, what's up with your team more in general...it looks like they got the classic "fear to win", they're not as brilliant as they were in the early games of the series
    • after a few leagues ended well before the true climax, now we have both leagues from the good, old Czechoslovakia going to game #7    shame that both games will be at the exact same time
