[OFF TOPIC] Coronavirus Pandemic

Recommended Posts

If things stay well the next week, Kindergartens and the younger classes will start opening starting next wednesday. This should make things easier for people working from home who has small children.

All other restrictions stay intact until may 10th.

There will be no major events until the autumn and the exams from public schools are cancelled.

Seeing all those pictures from everywhere, I'm damn glad there is no talk at all about military going on the streets here. That's the point where one would seriously wonder if things aren't going too far.

Boris Johnson has been moved into ICU ward in hospital.

Considering his, let's say, physical appearance, that is rather worrying..

"I shook hands with everybody" might turn out to be a memorable phrase..

Does Netherlands even have an Army? :p  Haven't heard much about it since the Balkan War in 1995 :coffee:

I don't think my dad spent half a year in Kosovo for fun in 1999/2000 :p

And the likes of Iraq, Afghanistan and Mali where they are now are not exactly holiday destinations neither.

Meaning the :COM Comoros are your African champions. Who knew they could be the best in something.

Since declaring independence, the country has experienced more than 20 coups d'état or attempted coups, with various heads of state assassinated*. Along with this constant political instability, the population of the Comoros lives with the worst income inequality of any nation, with a Gini coefficient over 60%, while also ranking in the worst quartile on the Human Development Index.

*that might not be a record, but it surely must come close

---

And on a positive note:

The Comoros is the world's largest producer of ylang-ylang, a plant whose extracted essential oil is used in the perfume industry; some 80% of the world's supply comes from the Comoros.

---

There you go. Comoros, for all your daily ylang-ylang needs.

What does a Comoros coup look like? All 15 people that live there gang up on the guy in charge?
