SARS was much more contained than Covid-19, and other possible pandemic just never happened because of sound medical judgement (Swine Flu, Ebola, etc.). So while this data is fun to look at, it’s not really a true assessment of world aviation. There’s never been a situation like this in the time of modern air travel. Plus, people are choosing not to fly even though they have the capacity to do so. The data will be more relevant in the time after Covid-19. “Sport has the power to change the world. To be fair, we are already talking about a whole period of minimum travel, so this nosedive on the graph is here to stay. #banbestmen

Apart from that being sad on a personal level, I do very much love how little planes one can see in the sky these days Maybe only 3 or 4 a day instead of basically always at least a few at any given moment I guess I should find other places to live where that's the normal situation If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Although at least it seems to be getting underway a little now, but there are still plenty of places where people simply don't have the capacity and it's not a choice at all.
