There are some conflicting information. First at TVP said that Jakobsen was in a coma and taken to the hospital by chopper now Kamil Wolnicki (Przeglad Sportowy) is saying that he was still laying down on the road few minutes ago but should be taken to the hospital by ambulance in any minute. So we know nothing. Also I heard from a friend that referee is alive and was taken to the hospital also.

As always during such situations is huge disinformation. I hope that all will survive and situation from last year will not repeat...

That was some serious crash. Gronevegen channeled his inner Cavendish stupidity there. There was a photographer completely obliterated by Jacobsen :( Eurosport were showing slow motions. Imagine if there were more people at the finish like a usual race. I don't see that much of a problem with finish, it was just Gronevegens moronic behavior. He very much knew and saw Jacobsen going inside with a higher speed and deliberately blocked him to get the win. It could have been a 30 metre wide road and he could have done just the same...

It wasn't a photographer, it was a referee (or at least everyone are saying that).

Marca Sarreau from FDJ also in hospital. And probably few more.

Yes, it was a referee, I think he was recording the finish for such cases - to judge the guilt of idiots doing such things with 80 kph.

And I agree with @Federer91 - it's not a matter of downhill, it's a matter of a certain idiot with the hay instead of brain, being rabid about winning the competition for every price.

And Renaat Schotte, the main Belgian journalist in terms of being present, said there were CPR attempts ongoing, but it's unclear whether that was for Jakobsen, the judge or both.
