Small question of medical ethics there, though.  :hyper:

I know. But it's not like this capitalistic approach of races having to go forwatd by any means necessary is that great either. :p

They had so much time to give all pros coronavirus on purpose, wait for them recover, and finally have them race without this mindless approach in which tons of tests get wasted for each race.

It should be noted that it’s not a guarantee that every rider would survive Covid-19 if they contracted it. The odds are most likely in their favor, but no medical professional could be 100% certain that every rider would be okay.

Looks like I was wrong & the Germans are taking #dcro’s robust approach.  :fingers:

Three pop concerts are being staged on one day in Germany to enable scientists to investigate the risks of such mass indoor events during the pandemic.

It’s German pop, so nobody cares what happens to the musicians anyway.  :roflmao:

Juraj Sagan Champion of Slovakia, Adam Ťoupalík Champion of Czech Republic

Ťoupalík won the traditional Czech-Slovak National championship race ahead of Zdenek Štybar and Petr Vakoč, Juraj Sagan was the only Slovak in the leading group so it was basically sure he´ll be again the national champion already some 10 km to go when the lead group was 3 and half minutes ahead of the chasing group including other Slovak riders

Slovakian silver for Erik Baška and bronze for Lukáš Kubiš. Peter Sagan DNS

Horrible day for Jesus Herrada - was fighting it out with Luis Leon Sanchez for the Spanish title, but dropped his chain on the cobbles with 200m to go.....would have had Silver for sure, but ended up walking has bike over the line down about 15th or so.

Oh well, does silver really matter in these national championships? Winners gets a cool jersey, the rest gets forgotten in terms of what they did there and to be fair, LLS was already on his way to obliterate him in the sprint :d

In the Netherlands Mathieu van der Poel, who said he wasn't in shape yet, destroyed a rather mediocre field - most of the best riders who could have had a chance here didn't compete because of the upcoming races.

Well, he seemed disappointed!  I’m sure if I been pedalling under an August Andalucian sun for six hours I’d want something a bit better!  :champion:
