2021 Baseball World Championships are postponed to 2023.

2022 World Games will counts as World Championships

Ooh, Softball tournament is going to be top class. I guess I’ll have to make a few visits to that venue if I get my accreditation.

So the 2021 World Baseball Classic is postponed? Or World Softball Championships? (which I have zero knowledge of) :p

so far, it's only the Softball activity...

but I fear that also the next WBC would eventually be moved to 2022, as the Baseball Olympic qualifiers (both the Panamerican tournament and the Global "last chance" tournament) have to be rescheduled for early Spring 2021...

p.s. the new KBO (South Korean pro baseball league) season starts tomorrow (all 5 scheduled games should start at 7 a.m. CET)...

all the games of the season are available for free on Twitch.tv (search for KBO channel on that platform)...;)

NPB, the Japanese top tier Professional Baseball League(s) is/are starting in less than half a hour...:cheer:

for schedule, results and stats, this is the official website of NPB:

https://npb.jp/eng/

and here some thoughts/previews about the upcoming season (all credits to the Japan Times):

a couple of places (paid service only, sorry, but there's no chance to get it for free) where to watch Japanese Baseball:

http://www.isakuraiptv.com/ (with the 96 channel lineup, you're sure to get all the games from the start to to the end of the season, Japan Series included)

https://tv.pacificleague.jp/ptv/pc/ (this is only a partial way to follow NPB, as it's the official OTT service of the Pacific League only...and of course it doesn't include the Central League games -both RS and PO- nor the Japan Series)...

very entertaining start of the season in Japan...

Hanshin Tigers @ Tokyo Giants, despite the lack of athmosphere because of the closed doors, was a very good and close match, as expected...I truly enjoyed it...:d

    • c'mon! stop those idiots! they're trying hard to ruin athletics in almost every aspect (road running, field events, the same cross country that has already been killed in practice)   please, someone shoot to death Coe and his accolades as soon as possible!!!
    • That's only if they don't listen to Trump's 48 hour deadline. But that is permanently 48 hours away, since, well, TACO.
    • I agree NO to Poomsae!!!   I think they plan to introduce 6 weight classes after LA instead of 8 right now, and those 6 should become Olympic instead of current 4 weights. Going forward world and Olympic ranking could be identical.    But it’s not clear if that means more quotas. Having 6 classes with 64 athletes per gender would be a joke. A reasonable taekwondo competition needs at least 16 athletes per weightclass. But I am not sure taekwondo can get another 64 quotas in total, I doubt it.    beside that I am not happy with the newly proposed weight classes, they give much more focus on light weight athletes, which will be an advantage for Asian countries mainly.    if the proposal is accepted the new weightclasses will be:    Female: 46kg, 51kg, 57kg, 63kg,70kg and +70kg    Male: 54kg, 60kg, 67kg,74kg, 82kg, +82kg
