Surely you're not saying Ghiotto is even remotely a 'safe' gold? :p

in the 10K?

yes, we deeply count on that :p

because we can say "safe" for anything related to short track nor an alpine skier named Sofia Goggia or a snowboard discipline like snowboardcross

and we won't even have the chance to take advantage of a home track in luge and skeleton :hairpull:

as a matter of fact, we're only competitive in very "risky" disciplines, that race in speedskating is the only "performance" event in which we start with heavy chances of winning the gold medal (at least for what we've seen last year)

Well he definitely does have a chance for gold, no doubt, although I'd say something like maximum 25% or so - counting the home advantage - is far from safe. But yeah, anything is safer than Goggia :d

I would find it awesome by the way, Ghiotto is a fantastic fighter. A dream would be to have Ghiotto vs Roest in the last pair, that would be fireworks :hyper:

A small question to the speed skating fans (US fans maybe):

Conor McDermott-Mostowy :USA  - he may have some Polish family? Mostowy may be a Polish surname. Andrzej Gut-Mostowy is a Polish politician from Zakopane, he opted for the winter olympics here if i remember correctly. He's doing (or he used to do, I don't know, whatever) bussinesses in hotel, tourism and skiing facilities sector obviously.

13:17.53 for Jordan Stolz in the US championships just now. Which, for those who aren't really into speed skating and times and such, is absolutely and utterly bizarre given the fact he is also able to skate a very low 34 second 500m. That range is astonishing beyond words.
