I don't know if Germany and Russia are very strong, but I think we can beat all the teams in this group. But I don't think we will qualify.

So do I.

For me Germany is not a big problem, not even Russia. The biggest challenge is Croatia at home

They're not very strong but should have solid teams. Croatia could probably have the strongest one, but we'll see, it's too early. And Croatia has a history of failing when expectations are high.

Excited to see Nick Nurse shut down Giannis again.

Also, add RJ Barrett to the growing list of players committing to play for Canada.

Petrović coming with Brazil to Split will certainly be interesting in any way. Problem is that every one of Brazil, Germany and Russia have a good PG, which is by far our weakest position.

Slovenia is our real problem, because without winning against them, playing against Lithuania is not real :p

I really think Lithuania at home will be a most difficult problem than Slovenian team for Polish boys. And I really hope Lithuania will qualify, because I think this is the only sport which let Lithuania to get a competitive team...

But I can add that Lithuania will be under pressure... To get a tournament at home can be a serious advantage, but not always.

    • I've read many years ago that the switch to artificial grass kinda kill the sport at grassroots level in these two countries.
    • India and Pakistan totally losing the plot in this sport, sad.

    • Interesting, for only 2 months i think i have seen some kind of coin from all of the big countries - Germany, Italy, Spain, Holland, France, Portugal, Belgium, Finland, Ireland and yes the 2 euro from Croatia. But some of them were the smaller ones, 10, 5, 2 cents.    Expectedly there aren't any from the smaller countries so far. Nothing from the Baltics, Cyprus, Slovenia, Malta, Andorra etc. But also a bit surprising i haven't seen any from Greece yet.    Don't know from what part of Italy are you, but it's safe to say that when summer hits there will be a lot of Bulgarians visiting Rome, so i'm sure they'll bring some of our coins to spread around.
    • I choose to collect only coins in circulation (and I have also found coins in circulation that should not be on the market; you can find a bit of everything). From my experience, it takes 4-5 years for coins to reach southern Italy, so I have no idea how it will work in Bulgaria. Incidentally, I am curious to see when I will see my first Bulgarian coin. I have not yet seen a Croatian coin (introduced in 2023!).
    • Yes, i saw that there are a lot of commemorative coins. But to get some of those, i would need to buy them, as i don't know how much of them are in circulation. And the chances of such making it to Bulgaria are rather slim.    Still, if i find some sports ones on a good price, maybe i will order a few.

    • Have you already started looking for the hundreds of commemorative 2 euro coins? There are loads of them, including sports-themed ones.
    • Don't know if someone else is collecting Euro coins, but since we joined the zone it's been fun looking at what you can get.    It took only 2 months, but today i finally got my first Slovakian coin.  @hckošice
