Talking about Olympic qualification, huge result for Llavador...while a few teams missing this women's foil stage means that Egypt is basically guaranteed a top 16 spot now.

not that it's different for the finals...no audio, poor pictures...and it looks like they're fencing in a small school room/office with the piste back against the wall and a few chairs behind the ref for the audience (if there's any audience)...

 

tell me if this is a serious stage for an international event like this...

Incredible and totally unexpected performance today by Llavador! It's the first World Cup medal for Carlos, even though he had already won two bronze medal at Worlds and Europeans, and the timing is just perfect. He is now very close to qualify unless Kleibrink, Choupenitch or Siess won a medal in the next Grand Prix.
