Here's your TV schedule.  As usual, Japanese TV are paying the bills so we'll be seeing a lot of them!  Eurosport negotiations lagging as per normal.  Otherwise all of everything is on the Curling Channel PPV - but their prices are more realistic that most other PPV sites and you only pay for single games.

Could be one of the worst ends Anna Hasselborg has ever played (at least from what I've seen). Germany take FIVE stones and win 9-3 with one end scratched.

Polish commentator said the Jentzsch rink lost 11 straight matches vs Hasselborg before?

Not a good idea to let Hasselborg play when both she and Knochenhauer are pregnant and McManus just gave birth to a son two months ago. Wranå should have performed a lot better.

Counting the games in the nationals + qualifiers, Wranå and Hasselborg are 4-5 and that extra 1-2 months of pregnancies has not been benefitial for their performance. Wranå won also the swedish super league last week, with Hasselborg not participating. So did I too on the mens side btw.

Germany might have a small chance of reaching the next round. They should lose against Canada and win against Turkey. If they win 2 out of their 3 matches against Norway/USA/Japan, they should be through. They already lost against 2 of their competitors (Italy, South Korea), so if they can‘t win 2 out of 3 against USA/Norway/Japan, they obviously don’t deserve to go through. So far Switzerland and Canada seem to be the clear favorites, but the fight for bronze seems rather open.

Attachment is the great fabricator of illusions; reality can be obtained only by someone who is detached.

World championship specialists Team Tirinzoni has 28 straight match wins in world championships. In the WCH 2021, 2022 and 2023, they have so far lost one game (against Hasselborg) out of 35 in this sport of small margins.  :yikes:

    • Yes, but what I mean for Serbia is that everything changed there (unfortunately for us ). 2022 was an unbelievable mess, that's not the case anymore now with just one athlete who has really gone for it and made it, so I'm 99% sure they'll accept it this time.   Who knows though. Plus there's always 1-2 bigger countries here or there who reject something, but it's not gonna be 16 places I'm afraid
    • Doping by Event Type When we look at which events have the most doping cases, a few categories stand out from recent sanction records: Long Distance (3,000m and above): 32% of cases Sprints (400m or less): 24% of cases Jumps: 12% of cases Javelin: 8% of cases Middle Distance (800m–1,500m): 8% of cases Hammer: 8% of cases Steeplechase (3,000m SC): 4% of cases
    • From 2020 to 2025    These three countries alone make up almost two-thirds (61.9%) of all current doping violations in athletics worldwide. It’s worth noting that 199 of World Athletics’ 214 member federations have no athletes on the current ban list. This means the problem is really concentrated in a small number of places. Here’s a look at the top countries: Rank Country Total Violations Percentage Region 1 Kenya 119 24.74% Africa 2 India 108 22.45% Asia 3 Russia 73 15.18% Europe 4 China 26 5.40% Asia 5 Turkey 20 4.16% Europe 6 Italy 18 3.74% Europe 7 South Africa 18 3.74% Africa 8 Ukraine 17 3.53% Europe 9 United States 16 3.33% North America 10 Morocco 15 3.12% Africa
