I don't know if it's still the same but there used to be a funny rule in AIBA, if you lose a match by KO, you can't participate for something 6 months (or 3 ? can't remember)   well at least

it happened a few years ago (2013 and 2015)...

 

now the aiba political committee is different...:whistle::coffee:

Clearly and without any doubts currently our best boxer the Minsk European Games Bronze medalist Andrej "Bandi" Csemez won his opening bout (as seeded directly in the 2nd round) over Serhat Guler of :TUR  4-1 and advanced among the top 16 in his -75kg class. In the last 16 he´ll face the :ARM Arman Darkhinyan on Monday.

 

 

 

Tomorrow the only our guy who won in the 1st round Dávid Michálek will fight his 2nd round bout in the -91kg. But certainly it´s gonna be the end of his road against no one else than Vassily Levit of :KAZ the Rio 2016 Silver medalist (but for every normal sport fan in the world the deserved Olympic champion)

Good show by Kasparian who gave Aradoaie quite a lesson and gave away significantly more hits than he received, although according to the judges it wasn't enough :)

well our only medal chance Ehsan Rouzbahani is out. :( he and his coach were kind of celebrating after the bout, but then he lost 3-2. with this scoring system everything is possible. you never know if you are winning or losing.

our only very talented boxer, Aziz Mouhiddine (-91kg), is also out in round #1..today he lost (?) against a man from Jordan I never heard of before...:facepalm::wall:

Italian men's boxing is really at their lowest point ever...:cry:
