Solid start for our boys with a 10-8 win against Hungary! Revenge for losing to them on penalties in the World Championships final last year :p

We already qualified for Paris 2024 so there should be no pressure on us, and although we have an Olympic medal and four World Championships medals (and even four World League medals!), surprisingly our men's team has never won a European Championships medal!

So the goal here is obviously to finally win a European medal. It would be a bonus if it's gold because we've never won a gold medal in anything at the senior level.

Why was Italy a massive favourite with all the bookmakers, despite Italy having a 'average' record in the past years and Hungary having won lots of big medals? :yikes:

If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Full story and how to help can be found here!

Because Hungary is playing with very few of their top players as they have already qualified for the olympics, it's pretty much a B (or maybe even C) roster. While Italy has not yet qualified and plays with exactly the same roster compared to the last world championship.

Now it makes a lot of sense, thanks :d
