NOS should have about 10 hours-a-day of live broadcasting for 2018 and 14 hours-a-day for 2020, with discovery reserving for themselves 2 sports as exclusive rights (Ice Hockey being 1 of the 2 for 2018)... Expand I think that's impossible...discovery group would keep for themselves all pay-tv rights for sure...the only open competition is for the free to air part...and I only hope that RAI won't be involved in any case (then, if they keep also those rights for their free channels or sell them to other networks, it's the same...just get rid of that fuckin' public shit of our darling, mamma rai (you already know what are they going to do next august with the rio games, so you can understand why I'm writing those lines)... Expand Well, i have discovered a law in Italy how OG and other events must boardcast for free (or in a channel whit 80℅ of potential watcher). Mkbw50 438 Posted April 11, 2016 Author #8 Share Posted April 11, 2016 Well, just trying to help. Here's a question. If you were broadcaster, and had exclusive rights, what and how would you broadcast it if you were in charge? For me, I would just emulate the BBC's 2012 coverage. All events can be watched live and on demand on telly or on internet, with the BBC Olympic Channels and online there are graphics showing stats and on-demand you can press a button for moments, e.g. a goal in football. Hopefully it will be as good. Also, how will SBS transmit to North Korea? Presumably they will sell it to KCNA? Expand I suppose they mean live broadcasting on online streams, which would be pretty bad given that in London there were 10-12 streams online almost all day... No way NOS will actually show 10 hours of live sports on tv, they prefer to spend most of the time showing replays, always behind some minutes behind and talking about the Dutch athletes so they are too late for the live things again. .
