Am I disappointed yes. The starting bibs had the advantage today. Ilka lost 0.40s in the upper part which should have been her strongest, the part where she would have gained the lead and hopefully carried it to the finish line. Strangely she lost the most out of all in the top 10 there, and gained in the part that hasn't suited her in the past. In her post race interview she sounded less cheerful than usual. If only she had started in the top 10... Plus her mom being in the hospital didn't help things today. Still after those past few season it's a miracle that she's even challenging for medals today. Now lets see what the rest of the season brings. Hopefully she will be able to fight Goggia for the downhill globe and come back stronger next season. But something tells me, that this could be it. After so many injuries I have a feeling that if she would have got a medal today she would have ended her career on the spot.

To be fair, the fact Stuhec is even where she is right now in terms of performances is already a major success after her injuries, great respect for that. Hopefully we'll still get to see more of her!

It's not like any bookmaker gives you the chance to predict the exact podium in a relatively small sport like alpine skiing, but if they did and you'd predict Schwarz, Seger and Marsaglia for gold, silver and bronze and it ends that way....goodbye working forever

Huh, I had no idea the Olympics were here :yikes: That's pretty cool indeed :d

the men's DH (and also the other speed races) was actually in Val d'Isere on the Face de Bellevard track...

the women's races of the 1992 Olympics were held in Meribel, but since then track has changed a lot (there's not a first steep slope at the beginning and also some of the mid and lower parts have been redesigned).

If miracles exist, please let Johan Clarey do it and take one of the most epic gold medals I would have ever seen.

Maze & Marsaglia are truly the Abbott & Costello of TV expertise :p

But I remember Barbara Merlin on Rai Sport so thankfully I don't understand much Italian
