Respect for the guys for the fight, no respect for the level of the refs on home soil... 3 or 4 gift points for the Koreans. In a WC final. Fucking laughable.

Both teams deserved it, and it certainly is a shame how awful the jury was today. I am sure that we will meet Korea again in the final next year, hopefully we will be able to beat them there.

Yeah it looks correct.

M sabre is well defined, those 8 teams will likely qualify.

In W epee Egypt will almost surely drop out of the top 16, so there will be one more spot for an European team, and Canada must hope for USA to stay in top 4.

Great match. Gold for China at the end 29:28.

:mumble:

rather, great comeback by Kolobova in the last stint, but broken Russian hearts when everybody thought she could land the final hit and instead the Chinese girl surprised her with a flashy attack and finally took the gold medal home...

meanwhile, it was really a fantastic match between HUN and KOR in the men's team sabre final...so far, under both a purely technical and the emotional point of view, clearly the highlight of the championship...imho...

    • I think the reason is that it's generally preferable to have a fast shooter in the 1st leg, and especially in the prone shooting, where Hofer is quite slow.   Now, I'm not saying I agree with the choice, because I don't. I think it's going to neutralize Giacomel's skiing skills in the 1st lap at least.   I guess the idea is to try and set a very fast pace in the 1st leg, which is usually quite tactical, but I'm afraid that's going to force Giacomel to risk too much because he will feel he has to make some time somehow.   Regardless, Italy must be on the podium tomorrow. I think that would be crucial for the following races as well. I think France is the clear favorite, but the other teams are not stronger than Italy on paper.
