I just watch what I want to watch. This particular film was based off a book series I loved as a pre-teen. I wanted to see how Disney’s adaptation was (spoiler: It was very bad.).

That's not my main issue with the remake of Lion King, personally I'm just not into movies where the characters come across as completely emotionless meat bags

Btw, BBC censored Michael Jackson's music based on these pedophilae accusations so it's not exactly a fallacy like you say
