I restarted watching 24, of which I watched the first few seasons when I was a kid. Interesting to see how some things are so different (phones), while others aren't really (I saw laptops having the same thing for the audio jacks as they have now :d).

If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Full story and how to help can be found here!

I want to watch this film, but I also don’t want to watch a terrible flop so...

I just finished watching this, I can say something like this about that...

Ok, maybe 1 or max 2 points for their song (perfomed in Grand Final) which was good.

So is it worth a watch or no? If it’s mildly entertaining, I can probably stomach it.

Only last 10 minutes is worthy to watch, so, you shouldn't watch this :p  Even I (as big Eurovision fan) had to stop this two times because I couldn't watch it anymore but somehow I managed watching it to the end :p

Finished Dark at last. Yet another Netflix series that should have been finished in less episodes.

Liked it better at the beginning when it was a darker Back to the future than at the end when it became a sugared version of Rick & Morty.

Didn't like the whole star-crossed lovers theme of the protagonists (had me rolling eyes all the time), but at least they went for a bittersweet ending.

I liked the movie, I think the way they capture the „spirit“ of the song contest is quite good. I especially liked the performance of Dan Stevens. I really like Will Ferrell and Rachel McAdams, so maybe I am a bit biased. If you don’t like Will Ferrell movies normally than you probably also don’t like this one. It wasn’t his best movie but I would say above average for his standards, maybe on the same level as Get Hard or Daddy‘s Home. Also I actually liked their song at the contest (although/because Rachel McAdams didn’t sing herself) and there are some other great songs, for example Hoppípolla by Sigur Rós.

Attachment is the great fabricator of illusions; reality can be obtained only by someone who is detached.

And, as usual, it's time for statistics that I don't know which theared to put in      After 29 events, 20 different NOCs was already on the podium. After several seasons, Uzbekistan is also back on the podium thanks to figure skating (and two former Russians).   This weekend will be all about ice sports, with a total of 13 events: 4 in figure skating (first stage in Europe) and 9 in short track (second stage in Montreal, since SLC was cancelled)

    • Out of curiosity, I listened to a few podcasts about Turkmenistan today. This country has very large deposits of natural gas. In the 1990s, a simple a ordinary people lived quite well there. In the early 21st century, Turkmenistan signed several unfavorable gas deals with China and has practically gone bankrupt since then. 1/3 of the population (about 2 million out of 6 million- mostly young people) emigrated, mainly to Turkey, India, etc. The future of this country is blacka and uncertain. I don't know what other options they have? Russia, Turkey, the EU? Of course, in terms of selling gas. Perhaps sanctions of Russia's and isolation due to the war in Ukraine would be a chance for Turkmenistan to establish economic relations with the EU, but the new president would probably have to loosen and a little liberate up his country's domestic politics.
    • A friend of mine who visited 97 countries of the world be in Turkmenistan (with Kunshamara, are the onlyones i know) and he tell me something that never see in another country: his presence was enough to make nervous to all the people, in restaurants, markets, etc, the presence of an "outsider" generate that.
