English translation of sign?

it's written in Serbian. Sorry, I don´t speak that language, you must ask someone else, but the last sentence is easily recognizable, Kosovo is Serbian land :p

Even knowing kind of how Serbians view Kosovo's independence and recognizing 'Srpska' in that sign, there's no way the rest of those signs would have made me think it had anything to do with Kosovo :d So thanks :p

So Slovan Bratislava travelled today to Wolverhampton, Some 1600 "fans" arrived to England to support them, but none of them was actually expected to find that they will not be served in any of the city pubs lol

Apparently there only 1 pub open for them at the railway station, but under the police escort. Talk about "your reputation precedes you.."

Speaking of Wolverhampton - again - they just trashed Espanyol 4-0 in the first leg of Last 32!

Talk about a major turnaround, they were stuck in the Championship for years during my childhood and then perenially battled relegation under Mick McCarthy in the EPL. Look at them now! Who says Chinese money is bad for business? :p

Surprises in 2nd leg/R of 32  with Arsenal and Ajax out (from Olympiacos and Getafe), but also Sporting CP (from Basaksehir)

Italian teams INTER and ROMA go through.

Postponed due to severe storm and high winds the match Salzburg vs Eintracht (today h 18:00 )

Today at 13:00 CET the draw of ruond of 16

There are no seedings and no country protection, so teams can face opposition from the same national association.

Main points regarding EL 2019/20 from today's meeting in UEFA Executive Committee:

https://www.uefa.com/insideuefa/news/newsid=2642232.html

  • Quarter-finals, semi-finals and the final will be played as a final eight straight knock-out tournament in Cologne, Duisburg, Düsseldorf and Gelsenkirchen between 10 and 21 August.
  • The Round of 16 matches will be played on 05/06 August with kick-off times of 18.55CET and 21.00CET. A decision will be made in due course on whether the Round of 16 matches for which the first leg has already been played will be staged at the home team’s venue or in Germany.
  • The matches FC Internazionale Milano v Getafe CF and Sevilla FC v AS Roma, whose first leg was also postponed, will be played as a single leg at a venue to be confirmed.
  • All subsequent matches in the competition will be played as a final eight tournament, with quarter-finals on 10/11 August, semi-finals on 16/17 August and the final in Cologne on 21 August, all kicking-off at 21:00CET.
  • The draws for the 2019/20 UEFA Europa League quarter-finals and semi-finals will take place on 10 July 2020 at UEFA’s headquarters in Nyon and the exact match schedule will be communicated following such draw.
  • Gdańsk, which was originally appointed to stage the 2020 final will now host the 2021 UEFA Europa League Final, whereas the venues for subsequent finals have all agreed to host these a year later than originally planned, with Sevilla in 2022 and Budapest in 2023.

First night and first match of the UEL return and already a surprise, as Copenhagen powered through Istanbul BB. Definitely thought the new turkish champions had this in the bag, especially with Copenhagen's lackluster finish to the league.

But the real show is Inter - Getafe. Let's go Nerazzurri :cheer:

    • I think the reason is that it's generally preferable to have a fast shooter in the 1st leg, and especially in the prone shooting, where Hofer is quite slow.   Now, I'm not saying I agree with the choice, because I don't. I think it's going to neutralize Giacomel's skiing skills in the 1st lap at least.   I guess the idea is to try and set a very fast pace in the 1st leg, which is usually quite tactical, but I'm afraid that's going to force Giacomel to risk too much because he will feel he has to make some time somehow.   Regardless, Italy must be on the podium tomorrow. I think that would be crucial for the following races as well. I think France is the clear favorite, but the other teams are not stronger than Italy on paper.
