Name the 5 biggest gold medal hopes for your country in Olympic Games Paris 2024

:GBR

Tom Pidcock - Mountain Biking

Equestrian - Eventing team

Rowing - Men's fours

Joe Choong - Modern pentathlon

Adam Peatty - Swimming

For :CAN I would say:

1. Swimming- Women’s 400IM (Summer McIntosh)

2. Breaking- BBoys (Phil Wizard)

3. Basketball- Women’s 3X3

4. Boxing- Tammara Thibeault (75kg)

5. Swimming- Women’s 400m Freestyle (Summer McIntosh)

Eleanor Harvey is another one of the gold medal contenders, but with Lee Kiefer and Alice Volpi contending, not too sure she’s as big of a favorite as them.

Edit: Men’s Decathlon is a special mention, with LePage just winning silver at this years World Athletics Championship, but then of course we also have the 2020 Olympic Champion Damian Warner. I’m just wondering since he was injured how will he recover from it, and so that is why I’m predicting Kevin Mayer to win gold. Plus, home crowd helps.

1) I think McIntosh is a bigger favorite in the 200 fly than in the 400 free.

2) I think that Guo might be a bigger medal contender than Harvey.

3) I think men's decathlon deserves a mention.

4) If the US for some reason doesn't send their best men's basketball team and Canada does send its best team, then they will be the clear favorit.

Attachment is the great fabricator of illusions; reality can be obtained only by someone who is detached.

2) At the moment Guo is not a bigger medal contender than Harvey, Guo is 10th in the World Rankings, Harvey is 3rd.

3) You’re absolutely right, I’m just worried about how Mayer will do.

4) Why the hell would the US not send their best men’s basketball team? And before Canada, I would put both France, and Australia above them in odds, maybe even Spain as they didn’t even qualify for the Olympics last year, with a squad full of NBA talent.

Overall, there's a lot to do, for example, compared to Budapest, but unfortunately, this is Italy How many years has Roma been building their new stadium, and they keep pushing back the completion date- now I read it's 2030? and it should be ready. The same goes for Milan- there should be a modern complex of indoor swimming pools with 50 meters pools, etc., but there's a problem with one stupid football stadium, which will only be built after an ultimatum from UEFA

She wasn’t a top-tier athlete in that program anymore. She was at the end of her career. I would personally would rather race against Katie. She’s not as competitive as the other athletes,” he said. “It’s probably really unfair to say and not really where I want to go with this but that’s where we are with that.”   Uhlaender: “If I were Canada, I would be concerned in how this coach is representing the Olympic values for his country,” Uhlaender told Fox News Digital. “He hurt a whole field of athletes, all with dreams, and this sends the message that they don’t matter unless they are number one. All athletes matter, and we all deserve to compete fairly, with integrity, and respect. He did not respect anyone in that field. “This is not about my resume or how good the athletes were in the race. This is about the fact that he intentionally manipulated the competition to hurt myself and 13 other countries because he felt it necessary to eliminate all possibility. That is against the spirit of sport and not what the Olympic movement represents.”   Isn't it great when other people's dirty laundry is aired?  /sarcasm     (I was a little surprised to see NPR pick this up, but per this article, Uhlaender preemptively recorded the phone call after receiving a text from Cecchini that said he had 'bad news' for her.)
