But when you memorise their hyperactive jumping tendencies, they line up for your sniper :(

Sure, but I can't get over how annoying and weird that jumping is so I can't be bothered to get experience in it :p

That's why I like campaigns more, at least you can play in what seems like a tiny bit of a more realistic way. I know going solo for a mission, or just standing and shooting hoping you don't get hurt isn't realistic at all, but at least it's better than the multiplayer stuff for me :p

I guess that's why the Vietcong 2 multiplayer was the best experience for me, since there was not a lot of jumping like a monkey on crack, because ducking or just quickly lying on the floor was usually a more beneficial tactic to get rid of your opponent.

FPS games tend to have rather toxic communities. That’s what ended up turning me away from them in the end.

You can definitely say that about MOBAs too

Oh, forgot the whole 1v1 fighting scene such as Mortal Combat or Smash, those are toxic AF.

Toxic communities, people playing in bullshit ways, singleplayer simply being more fun, etc :p

Meanwhile a bit of alcohol last night worked miracles in finishing one of the MW2 Spec Ops on the highest difficulty  Couldn't do it for the life of me, until apparently with a tiny bit of help I thought "fuck it" at some hard points and just went for it, with success :p

Nine stars to go, three of which have to be done in co-op mode only (probably with my dad, although being an actual life-long military man makes him play a little too realistic (as in, slow) for these things on higher difficulties :p ).

I used to play a lot of COD growing up with a few of my closer friends. I remember having a good time playing online. It’s when they started playing with people we didn’t know that problems arose. So I think FPS games are fine if you’re only playing with friends you know, and talking to other sports players in the lobby.

My favorite FPS game is Battlefield 1. The war stories are well made. The 32 v. 32 all out wars are the best. I always played as a medic/sniper. I loved going around saving my teammates. I was damn good at it too.

This is so sad. The 'remaster' of a pretty legendary game turns out to be rather mediocre: they removed stuff like Nazi and Imperial Japan symbols (despite that being exactly the setting) :(

I wonder what's next, a World War 2 game where you can only shoot with water pistols?

Well the far-right has been using video games to recruit younger members to their ranks. I don’t really care if a game features Nazi and Imperial symbols for the sake of historical context though. It also doesn’t drive me crazy if they chose not too.

There has been some really bad issues with gaming though. Like that game where the sole purpose was to kill as many Roma as possible, or the numerous games where the objective is to kill Jews or other races. I think the gaming community gets such a bad rap because it refuses to address these issues (among many others).
