TISC Open 2023 Bidding Process:

 

 

We are officially open to receiving bids to host the upcoming Totallympics Open International Song Contest 2023.

TISC Open 2023 winners France, along with runners-up Sweden and 3rd-placed Netherlands have all declined the hosting rights meaning we will go to an open-bid process to find our next TISC host.

Bidding will remain open until Friday 15th, September, 23:00 GMT so anyone interested please post on thread before then.

 

If we receive multiple bids, a draw will take place to decide who the next host will be. The official draw will take place on Saturday, 16th September 15:00 GMT.

TISC Open 2023 Host Candidates:

In the event that the hosting rights are declined by the top 3 ranked nations at the previous edition of the relevant TISC, an open bid process will be conducted in order to award the hosting rights. This process will be open to all candidates, first-time hosts as well as previous hosts.

A random draw will take place with each candidate being awarded a number of tickets in the draw. The more tickets a candidate has entered, the better their chance of being selected as host. Here is the process for how the tickets will be distributed:

 

Each candidate automatically awarded 1 ticket each in the draw. However, additional tickets awarded as follows

- did not host in the previous 5 editions (+1 additional ticket)

- did not host in the previous 10 editions (+1 additional ticket)

- did not host previously (+2 additional tickets)

- took part in the previous bidding process (+1 additional ticket). For first-time hosts, they will add an additional ticket for each edition they are unsuccessful for in bidding, thus increasing their chance slightly with each unsuccessful bid. This increase will only be available for first-time hosts. Additionally, if a first-time host missed 2 consecutive bidding campaigns, then their tickets no longer carry forward and they lose those additional tickets.

 

 

P.S. as it stands, in the event of a draw to decide hosting right, would have 2 tickets in the draw (1 automatic ticket entry and 1 additional ticket entry as they did not host in the previous 5 editions of the contest).

TISC Returns to the USA!

 

 

It is my great pleasure to formally announce the United States as the host of TISC Open 2023! . @Olympian1010 was the sole bid this time and it means TISC will return to the USA for a second time, 5 years after they first hosted TISC Open 2018. We are all excited to see what America has in store for us and we wish our hosts the very best of luck on their organisation of what will surely be another great contest!

If I really wanted to stay current, I’d pull a Victoria 2026 and say, “see you later.” Thankfully, my plans are (hopefully) a bit more grounded than Australia’s
