Well, it is scheduled to be held in July-August, so talking about it every day at this stage would be a touch too much.

Well, it would be rather important to decide what we're actually doing (if we're doing anything) and who's going to be the person/people to work on the show.

I was thinking of borrowing an idea from the Olympic and Eurovision channels and have a replay of the very first Totallympics International Song Contest (TISC Open 2013). The early editions of TISC were hosted on the old forum so it's not possible to re-live them by accessing a thread. So might be a nice idea to post a full re-run of the voting results allowing us to re-live how the voting unfolded in that crazy edition and allowing new users to live it for the first time.

 

Obviously it wouldn't last as long as a normal TISC live show and is not a true replay but might be nice to gather for a couple of hours to re-live a bit of TISC history.

 

Any thoughts?

I wonder if it would be possible to recreate the original scoreboards and templates?

The answer is yes, the scoreboard can be recreated as you can see below. The templates is another story. I don't have the original templates but I do remember the heading for each template. it coontained a spinning flag and 4 templates... Points 1-9; 10 Points; 11 Points and 12 Points.

I might slightly alter the scoreboard template to make it look "high definition" whilst keeping its rustic look. The templates were really restricted on the old forum as it was not possible to format tables in the way we can now. So let's see the high definition of the original clunky scoreboard

Are we going to revisit the question about @Olympian1010 representing one of ?

 

He has the nationality, technically, so I would be fine with it as long as there are some provisions. For example having to represent one territory for TBD editions before a new change is granted AND/OR having to miss 1 edition before being allowed to revert back to the US again.

 

EDIT: It appears the current rules don't allow the Northern Marianas to compete, but the Virgin Islands, Guam and American Samoa are still up for grabs.
