it could be a terrible day, Pakdaman almost blew up a big lead against Canada but somehow survived it 45-44 . that 1 hit made a HUGE difference at the end of the day! :CAN finished 16th and Iran won the bronze after beating Italy. our guys also had a huge huge comeback against :GEO to win it 45-44 again. 

 

That's a good start for the Olympic qualification but still a long way to go.

Really bad start for us in women's sabre as Ukraine and Spain are our main rivals for the European quota. We can't afford to lose to Spain, we can quickly find ourselves in a very bad situation if this is a sign for things to come.

      I still shocks, that a country of 4-5 million inhabitants? can be a powerhouse in almost every winter sport + handball, football (most recently with Haaland) and athletics: Ingebrigtsen, Warholm, etc. With such a small population, they can't be missing out on any major talent, surely? This must be the best training system in the world...
