BTW Denmark was tied with Slovenia even in yellow cards , so ranking before start of qualifications made it 2nd and Slovenia 3rd .

I guess if Belgium doesn't top group E , Denmark will really regret being better in ranking than Slovenia , as Slovenia will get mush easier game

So now we have one side of the bracket with Spain, Germany, France, Portugal… will we have another walk in the park for England if they win today and get to avoid all this until the final?

If Czech Republic doesn't beat Turkey or Georgia doesn't beat Portugal then England will play Netherlands in 1/8.

If Czech Republic beats Turkey by less than three goals (which would eliminate Hungary) that sends the 3rd team from group E to play England (very likely it could be Slovakia) @hckošice

So Czechs winning 1-0 or 2-0 eliminates Hungary but 3-0 most likely eliminates Turkey if at least one match in Group E ends in a draw.

Great for Slovenia, but England is such a fraud. This whole group C is just forgettable. Bring back 16 teams!

I can even accept 32 teams, anything to have a regular format where simply the top-X goes through to the knockout round :d

Of course I'd prefer 16, no doubt, but 32 would be a lot better than 24 and this 3rd place nonsense.

As we see Chants and conflicts between Croatia , Serbia , Albania , Greece , Macedonia , Bosnia why always Slovenia playing the good boy part why are they aren't involved in this stuff :d

Maybe Slovenia is not eastern enough to be involved in all this never-ending nonsense :p

I read somewhere that we (Slovenia) hold the record for most matches played at the Euros without winning. Yesterday was our 6th match. We have 5 draws and 1 defeat. And yet we still somehow managed to qualify to the 2nd round. After the 2010 slap where we lost the chance of qualifying in the last seconds because USA scored, we feared it was going to be the same. Losing points against Serbs with that lucky goal hurt a lot. But finally some luck came our way. Let's see what we can do now. If Croatia has shown us anything is that you can just park the bus and play for penalties to progress. Also grande Kek! best coach on the planet.

That is correct. Excluding Serbia & CIS due to Yugoslavia & Soviet Union/Russia connections the only teams winless in Euro finals except Slovenia are Latvia (3 games), North Macedonia (3 games) and Georgia (2 games) ;)

In other words, it's not just his fault, but this whole thing would have been avoided if only one player avoided a yellow. Which in some cases wasn't too hard...

And that's why you want players who either can keep their frustrations in check or use them as extra drive instead of just using it for dumb tackles :p

    • Today is a day without Italians in the leads positions. I`m worried that they are not trying to revive this our sprint. There is only one Bosa and he is old. Pergher is young but she is also only one. It is a pity. After the Olympics they will probably 100% give up on the entire sprint. Our medal bag in Cortina will depend 90% on Ghiotto, just like it did on Fabris in Turin 2006. If Ghiotto will be in goodshape, he can even win 2 individual golds + a team medal. If not, it will be a flop. Apart from him, only Lollobrigida can compete in the mass start and possibly Giovannini in the men's mass start.
