Damn, Bloemen with a 12:33 in the B division (starting with four instead of two, so that's an advantage, but still), third fastest time ever :d

Which then confused his opponent a bit later as well :d 

 

Oh well, better a lap too long than too short. It's not like he'd have gone more than half a second faster if he had started his final 'sprint' a lap earlier :p

Polish media report already that :NED Jutta Leerdam won't take part in the Tomasz Mazowiecki World Cup in two weeks time :p  We get Gronewoud, Nuis & Roest + some B team names instead.

Today the World Cup Final started. Here are the final World Cup standings for this season for the following distances:

Men's 1.500m:

  1. :NED Kjeld Nuis (276 points)
  2. :CAN Connor Howe (254 points)
  3. :USA Jordan Stolz (236 points)

Women's 500m:

First ever world cup overall on the long distances for a Norwegian woman!

 

Min-Sun Kim almost had the perfect record winning the first 5 world cups over 500m, but finishing 2nd today behind Herzog. Still an incredible season for her so far.

 

Tomorrow the final races in the women's 1.500m, the men's 500m, the men's 5.000m (as part of the long distances World Cup over 5k/10k) and the women's team sprint.

On Sunday, the 1.000m for men and women will be contested as well as the mass starts for both genders.

:NOR Eitrem just improved the track record of :SWE Nils van der Poel. :thumbup:

 

In the same pair, :ITA Ghiotto threw away the overall victory in the men's long distances World Cup by hindering Eitrem. :facepalm:
