Apparently the dates have been set: April 24 - May 5 (which oddly enough conflicts with the World Combat Games scheduled to take place in Kazakhstan next year, that features some of the same sports (and would probably feature many of the same athletes)).

Sports Program has also been decided: Bowling, Cue Sports (Billiard Sports), Dancesport, e-Sports, Floorball, Futsal, Indoor Athletics, Muaythai (what a surprise :p), Netball, Sepaktakraw, Short Course Swimming (25m pool), and Taekwondo. I don’t know if this is the final program because the sports program has not yet been officially confirmed by the OCA (at least to my knowledge).

Oceanian NOCs will be invited to participate once again (I do think this has been confirmed by the OCA).

Good luck having a "successful" competition in that time 3 months before the Olympics. :d I think if they don't cancel the games most NOCs will only send few athletes only to respect the OCA. not seriously sending a delegation. I really expect Iran to do that, only sending less than 10 athletes in one sport. (probably just a futsal team) because OCA always asks NOCs to participate.

only two new sports, Floorball and Netball ! we used to see organizers adding weird sports ino the AIMAG program. but seriously I hope they change the name, this is probably the worst name ever "Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games" !! what about Asian Games B ! :d

Most of them are non-Olympic sports. Based on that list athletics, swimming and taekwondo may have it tough (at least among athletes that will compete at the Olympics)

Athletics too but that's not my point, for example Iran won't qualify so many athletes in Athletics and Swimming and in Taekwondo Iran never send A team to a competition like this (same as 2017) so technically it won't change much.

but few months before the Olympics, NOCs will only focus on that, even if we survive this crisis , there will be financial problems . I don't think NOCs will have much money for preparing their teams for an event like this.

Mideterranean games 2021 in :ALG Oran has been postponed officially to 2022

They had the perfect time window, so I really don’t understand this move.

i don't think athletes will prefer to take part in multi-tournament games just less than 2 months before Olympics

Most of the “A” athletes didn’t prefer to take part in 2018 either :p

Because the majority of us are in quarantine at this point, and without much sports to watch, I’d like some help with the following. I nearing completion of my PDF results collection (based off what’s available online still), but there’s many games I can’t find PDF results for. So if any of you possess any of the following (or know someone who does, or somewhere I can find them), I’d greatly appreciate it if you could share them with me somehow :yes

Organizations that are helpful (and on my good side): FISU, GAISF, MicroPulse.
Organizations that suck ass and that are dead to me: CIJM, Qatar NOC, Tissot, CISM, and MSL (who apparently doesn’t even exist anymore :hairpull:

at least few of them took part , so these few athletes will not take part also in 2021 :d but actually there were a good number of elite athletes participating in 2018 as far as i remember comparing to another editions

Best Algerians would obviously take part. Why should they organize an event that clearly goes against their interest, scheduling-wise?

    • Was an interesting competition...as I was watching, I was thinking that the boulders seemed a bit simple for this caliber of athletes (and also a lack of more dynamic moves).  Glad my suspicions were confirmed when Oriane and Janja stated that they wished the boulders were harder at the end.  We'll see what this looks like if this happens again!   (Biggest complaint: SF1 and SF2 was immediately followed by the Small Final, so the loser of SF2 wasn't as rested.  They could have switched genders to the other SFs first.)
