Which raises a new question: how does an ice hockey team withdrawing lead to two other nations participating in other sports? :d

Or are "Bahrain withdrew" and "Jordan and Uzbekistan are confirmed to compete" to separate things that have nothing to do with one another?

I think the second one. Haha. Didn't know Jordan and Uzbekistan even had hockey teams!

Sorry lol, I was typing on my mobile and forgot to write Jordan will compete in alpine skiing and Uzbekistan in figure skating (they entered way after the entries deadline).

Also for your interests, the Sri Lankan athlete will not compete in the Biathlon competitions, the IBU has refused to let him, so he will just compete in cross-country skiing.

It's really a shame they don't use the standard sportresult thing for results and schedules, but their own rather crappy and amateuristic design :p

    • Many things, probably they thought it is already over and the win will come itself... but also Nitra improved their play a lot, they outplayed us in physicality in the last 2 games, they won almost every duel. Was hard to watch. Anyway I am still persuated we will finish the job at home with success on Tuesday
    • If you look at their results this season and on the Super Series, it’s not really that surprising.    I’d consider them to be medal contenders.
    • At one point it seemed we were making good progress in this sport, but in the past 1-2 years things seem to have hit a standstill..   Ivaylo Ivanov is still our only elite judoka, but he is passing 30. There were/are some promising youngsters, but they haven't been able to make a jump to the senior level. At this Euro we barely had any first round wins (not including Ivanov). In fencing and taekwondo the results are much more visible for us.
    • yes, but that's only an (important) episode... I mean, what's up with your team more in general...it looks like they got the classic "fear to win", they're not as brilliant as they were in the early games of the series
    • after a few leagues ended well before the true climax, now we have both leagues from the good, old Czechoslovakia going to game #7    shame that both games will be at the exact same time
