Alaphilippe unstoppable this season, not one bad race from him so far. Sagan held it to the end and then nothing in the sprint?! Pity..

Sagan is not a tactical genius :p

This has always killed me. Huge fan, love the dude, but come on man have some basic tactical sense

Around 30km to go in Gent-Wevelgem, Wout van Aert is looking insanely strong especially on the Kemmelberg.

Kristoff wins. Degenkolb second.

Great week for german cyclists. Degenkolb, Schachmann, Ackermann and Bauhaus should have won several points for the Olympic ranking.  :)

Especially Schachmann has been incredibly impressive in Catalonia

Degenkolb was going well in San Remo until he got a mechanical issue a few kilometers before the final on the fast descent :(

Dwars door Vlaanderen today and the Belgians are again making a mess of having both a women's and men's race: again they got mixed up so the men's race had to be stopped for a while

This gave problems with not everyone from the lead group being back in the lead group after they resumed racing, most notably Lukas Pöstlberger. He found the motorbike of Belgian 'motorbike reporter' Renaat Schotte and held on to him to get back to the lead group (no cheating, Pöstlberger was supposed to be in that group when resuming racing, since he was there before they had to stop due to the organization being morons). Schotte started with "I'm not allowed to ask anything" in German, but Pöstl gave a little statement in English anyway :p

    • poir Madsen had a very unlucky debut at the CWC he seriously injured himself (dislocated shoulder and possible concussion) in an attempt to save a boundary in the very early stages of Today' match vs Scotland   moreover, Italy lost badly against the Scots, allowing them to score 207 runs in the 1st innings (it took 14 overs to get the 1st wicket) and going well short chasing that score (we immediately saw that today wasn't the day when our lead batsman went out at the very 1st ball thanks to an amazing but improbable catch by a Scottish fielder)   in all this, a couple of highlights to be recorded: Hasan Ali with a very efficient bowling performance (5.25 economy, 1 wicket) and Harry Manenti with good 52 runs in just over 30 balls with the bat
    • The Italian team has already achieved a better result than the Chinese team in 2022 at home. The Italian team has made enormous progress since 2023, when we were still losing to Korea and Poland. Of course, this is mainly due to naturalizations, but China did the same. It's one of the few sports that have made significant progress before these Olympics and this is how it should be in most disciplines at home games.
    • change with given the WBC rosters    ps you forgot (I'd put them at no.5, however)
    • will get bronze.  are going to struggle to come back from such an horrible performance today.
