Men's Road Cycling UCI World Tour 2022 (Tour de France)

Recommended Posts

Tadej takes yellow and probably won't lose it for the next 2+ weeks.  Was hoping Neilson Powless could get it, but good to see :USA near the top of the GC, even though he probably won't stay there much longer

And he's still young enough to be eligible for the white jersey, which is insane

Ah come on, let's have some hope for some fight for the yellow left. Pogacar getting it today means we might as well finish the rest of the Tour in writing :p

A day later, but we are there :p What can i say, i enjoy the guy and the way he rides. He is the best chance we will ever get to see a Merckx in our lifetime and i'm here for it. Unlike Froome and the Sky bots we had in the past decade, Pogacar is way more versatile and exciting to watch, so his early dominance isn't that tiresome and irritating.

In other things, i don't get what van Aert wanted to accomplish today. It was such a bizarre strategy, as if he wanted to get rid of the yellow and don't fight for the stage win..

Sagan in the shadows again.. I'm like a broken record, but it just feels so weird to think and say, that he is finished as a top competitor. His downfall seem so fast and sudden.

Just in case it wasn't clear, Pogacar will probably lock down the Tour de France today (if he hasn't already done so), one week in :p

The next 20 years we'll get Tour de France's which are just as exciting as those in Armstrong's and Froome's days, although now they'll be decided earlier.

Ah, it's not the regular Planche des Belles Filles, but the SUPER Planche des Belles Filles. The money really grows on trees there, doesn't it? We're almost going there more often than to Paris since it's debut, which feels like it was decades ago but is actually only 2012 :p

    • And this is the final Medal Table fo the XX Bolivarian Games in
    • Agreed. But OTOH, the chances of a Male Team pursuit medal also seem rather slim at the moment, so why the hassle of dropping someone.
    • I have a sports database with millions of entries, which I then convert graphically on my Wikipedia sandbox.
    • Wouldn't be surprised to see the same this time. The men's 500m has basically on or with luck two medal chances, but certainly not three (semi-realistic) ones. With Beau Snellink for now not exactly on his way to an Olympic ticket and Patrick Roest still questionable, that might only leave Chris Huizinga, Jorrit Bergsma and Marcel Bosker, and that is not exactly a group one would want to have in the team pursuit.
