Does anyone know why Kim Boutin sat out this first couple of World Cups?

Focusing on her internship, she’ll be back in January.

Mixed day for Canada, but pretty good overall results on Day 3 of the ISU WC in Beijing.

1-2 for Canada in the men’s 500m, as Jordan Pierre-Gilles wins gold and Steven Dubois winning silver. Men’s 5000m relay also wins gold.

On the other hand, disaster for William Dandjinou in the men’s 1000m as he gets penalized (a well deserved one though unfortunately) for coming into contact with a skater after initially finishing first, and our women’s 3000m relay (finished second originally) as they get penalized for a inactive skater on the track.

Gold and bronze for Steven Dubois and Pascal Dion in men’s 1000m at the ISU Seoul WC!

Women’s 3000m relay advances to the A-final, men’s 5000m relay fails to make it past the quarterfinals (WC leader, and 2/3 gold medals this season, so a very disappointing result)

Sincerely apologize for all of the spam (just one more after this, at least for now), but a three medal day at the ISU Dresden WC today! William Dandjinou won gold in the men’s 1500m, while Felix Rousel and Steven Dubois won silver and bronze in the men’s 1000m.

Kim Boutin in her return to competition finished 5th in the women’s 1000m a-final.
