Really sorrow performance by Pinto once again. I think if someone would have told her that it was a heat and not a semifinal she probably would have finished top 3 or top 2.

Attachment is the great fabricator of illusions; reality can be obtained only by someone who is detached.

It is interesting to see how enthusiastic the swedish fans are about someone that barely has any connection to Sweden. It would be great if the qatari fans would be as enthuasistic about their own athletes at least.

At least he was born with Swedish citizenship and has 50% of his blood and relatives Swedish. More than most qataris

Fries ok, but I really can not turkey. I have grown a lot of aversion to this meat since I was little I am not afraid to say

My dinner is more clam, just bread, butter, ham, and a mixed salad of red pepper, tomatoes, radish, cucumber and heywoodus lovely olives. + Beer obviously ;)

meanwhile I love all kinds of volatiles and courtyard animals...turkeys, chickens, goose, partridges, germans, quails...

Duplantis is more american than some of the actual american athletes (Bor for example).

    • I still shocks, that a country of 4-5 million inhabitants? can be a powerhouse in almost every winter sport + handball, football (most recently with Haaland) and athletics: Ingebrigtsen, Warholm, etc. With such a small population, they can't be missing out on any major talent, surely? This must be the best training system in the world...
    • FIFA announced the stadium and time for each match   for  Iran, it will be 2 matches in LA (and not just 1) and 1 in Seattle and luckily we avoided playing in Canada. absolutely nothing against the country, but there are just too many douchebag Iranian groups in Vancouver trying to mix everything with their stupid politics. it's better to stay away from them.   that can happen in US too but less likely. playing in LA is more like playing at home, at least I hope so. 2022 Qatar was a disaster from our point of view, hopefully this one remains only about football.

    • I don't think he'll mind too much
    • But his time isn`t valid at track record.
    • Vladimir Semirunniy dropped a 12:28 in the 10000m B division, which qualifies him for the Olympics as the fastest time this season (with the big asterisk that it was done in a quad start). Must be a real relief for the Polish team given he isn't looking likely to qualify for the 10000m (or the 5000m) by ranking.   Really problematic that they rank pair start and quad start times together, but whatever.   Also, the Wikipedia page for qualification is updated through the second day.
