Not that insane, since it was outside her 2017 PB.

So at the age of 16 Chinese swimmer is seemingly no longer setting PBs. What else is new.

I know that, I meant "insane" for the majority of swimmers.

The drugs/inhuman training regime are starting to take their toll...

Because of one meet? I think she for example set a PB in the 400 free this year. The majority of swimmers miss their taper from time to time. I too expected the chinese swimmers to be faster here, but in the end they still won gold and silver comfortably.

Right now my predictions would be:

200 free: Medals for Ledecky, Titmus, Ruck

400 free: Gold and silver for Ledecky and Titmus, bronze between 5 or 6 swimmers, currently i would favor Bingjie/Smith/Kesely for bronze.

800 free: Gold for Ledecky, rest of the medals between 7-8 swimmers. Ledecky is 9 seconds faster than everyone else this season, the rest of the top 9 are within 6 seconds.

1500 free: Same as in the 800 free.

Attachment is the great fabricator of illusions; reality can be obtained only by someone who is detached.
