And you know that because Kostelic was one of them?

I have to be proud. We don't even have the means for national giant slalom championships... :p

Amazing weekend for Germany. 2 3rd places and a win and all of that without Dreßen, Dopfer and Neureuther contributing anything. Hopefully Luitz can finally show performances like that consistantly. Everyone always knew that he can have random podium finishes, but he never fully used his potential until now because he made too many big mistakes on a regular basis.

Luitz was pretty consistent in the year before his injury. From January to December 2017 he finished in the top 5 in all World Cups in Giant Slalom. We'll see, if it can continue like this or if the mistakes from his earlier Career will return.

Already cancelled? Still four days to go...nothing can change?

EDIT: Make that 11, mixed the dates.

For the record, Christine Scheyer suffered a torn ACL in that LL fall and is out for the season. You could guess as much three seconds after the fall.

Yay, I'm 2 for 2 in 'end of the season predictions' in one weekend.

    • Yeah. It was pretty bad that they cancel the contract with the original creative director after 7 months of work. I feel like politics, in this particular context of the changing of prime minister and the cabinet, may had caused changes in organizational decisions regarding the Sea Games including the direction of the opening ceremony.
    • That's what I figured.  Wouldn't be a proper lead up to an Olympics without some media-fueled fearmongering.
    • Today : Jordan 3-0 Egypt  This team will surprise us
    • option no.2 for sure, as it's been all this shitstorm organized by the nhl owners through their embedded reporters   ps not that the north american audience looks really aware of the hockey rules and habits outside the nhl (and around their game, too, since they look not to know that just a couple of weeks ago they played 2 nhl matches on an ice sheet of the exact same size of Milan's olympic arena)
    • Are we supposed to take Daly's word for it or is this just public posturing to try and shame the Milan organizers (which they certainly deserve for all the delays) in order to threaten NHL participation?
    • Well that was a disappointing opening ceremony. Not to mention the boss is late too...   Anyway this is another victim of bureaucracy, the initial creative director quit in October and we get this kind of show.   Original plan: https://www.facebook.com/share/v/17EVayTpig/
    • Japan missed their last shot with hammer in the 10th last night against the Philippines for them to stay alive.  USA's remaining 2 games are against Philippines and Netherlands, so they have a tough road ahead, although they've already beaten Japan, so that helps for tiebreaker purposes.
