Anyone following the Thomas & Uber Cup that has just started today here in Aarhus?

Personally I'll be in the arena for the next 2 sessions today (couldn't get myself up for the 1st session) and friday's Thomas Cup quarter finals and Uber cup semis.

I am following and I am really looking forward to the men’s matches between China and Denmark if we reach that that far. Wanna see if anyone could defeat Axelsen.

That must be a cool experience. Enjoyed the Taiwan - Thailand match today.

That certainly was quite a match! Even got to the arena before it was done.

Great atmosphere for the Danish match while the others were a bit anticlimactic. But that's the group stages for you and sadly we don't have much Asian spectators Heartbreaking watching the women's doubles between Japan and France. Everybody could hear Palermo cry and it took way too long before they got a wheelchair for her!

Really miss the good olden days of Susi Susanti and Alan Budi Kusuma. Well Susi Susanti is the best WS that Indonesia ever had. Gone were the good olden days. Hope to see another WS player from Indonesia with the quality of Susi Susanti. :)

While Susi Susanti is still actively playing for Indonesia many years ago, Indonesia really had a very strong women team and they managed to win the Uber Cup in year 1994 and 1996 with Susi Susanti playing in the team. Sincerely hope Indonesia will be able to find another WS player with the strong ability like Susi Susanti.

Really miss the days whereby Susi Susanti is still playing and those days whereby Indonesia women team is so strong that they can even win the Uber Cup.

    • Yes, but what I mean for Serbia is that everything changed there (unfortunately for us ). 2022 was an unbelievable mess, that's not the case anymore now with just one athlete who has really gone for it and made it, so I'm 99% sure they'll accept it this time.   Who knows though. Plus there's always 1-2 bigger countries here or there who reject something, but it's not gonna be 16 places I'm afraid
    • Doping by Event Type When we look at which events have the most doping cases, a few categories stand out from recent sanction records: Long Distance (3,000m and above): 32% of cases Sprints (400m or less): 24% of cases Jumps: 12% of cases Javelin: 8% of cases Middle Distance (800m–1,500m): 8% of cases Hammer: 8% of cases Steeplechase (3,000m SC): 4% of cases

It’s worth noting that 199 of World Athletics’ 214 member federations have no athletes on the current ban list. This means the problem is really concentrated in a small number of places.
