Imagine if USA faces Serbia in QF, that would be interesting. But I think they still can win vs Turkey and face an "easier" opponent later.

Straight sets loss to Canada against Turkiye, not surprising, but it pretty much means we'd have to win against both Poland and Dominican Republic to qualify. Tough ask, especially with Poland's win over the United States today.

I have little to no interest in volleyball nowadays, and this system takes all the fun from the event, in my opinion.

It's much better than the FIBA Women's World Cup,. which had just 12 teams, and which played a maximum 8 matches each (38 total).

Incredibly close match between  and  , I really thought we could've won, but in the end China takes the 5th set. I believe we played the best volleyball of our tournament so far though, so hopefully our (probably) last two matches build on that positive line.

Netherlands took some inspiration from Poland, and in the end still got 1 point. Match vs Brazil tomorrow should be interesting.

 

Now I'm mostly waiting Italy vs China on Saturday, this match will probably define the QF.

I don't know what I've missed from volleyball in recent years, but I didn't expect to see Canada so competitive.

Sigh of relief, it was so difficult match for both teams, but in the end our girls wins. Good luck Canada tomorrow, they deserve qf spot too.
