Summer Olympic Games Paris 2024 Team Sizes

Recommended Posts

It looks like for some nations they are getting two athletics invitations. Probably to avoid from having only male athletes.

Of the ones I listed (:BIZ :GEQ :IRQ :LIE :NRU :OMA :SKN :SOM :SSD :TUV)

:GEQ:OMA:SKN:SSD now have a woman competing.

Team :IND @ Paris Olympics

Official athletes delegation list released by our NOC.

117* athletes in 16 sports ( 70 men & 47 Female)

* Includes AP - 2 in Athletics(Relay teams) + 3 in Hockey + 2 in TT Team

* 1 Female athlete ( Abha Khatua, Shotput) doesn’t feature in this official list although she qualified via rankings in the WA final updated list. No explanation for her absence is provided either by Athletics federation or the NOC . Will be interesting to see if WA will reallocate her quota to next best athlete on the ranking list.

:CAN announced 338, with 316 as the number qualified (the rest being alternates). However, their spreadsheet shows 318. So currently unsure what is correct.

^ So you are saying, that Canada has more women, than men on their roster, without the "fancy" woke wording. I hope the IOC will be informed if any "non-female" females compete in female events, just so everything is fair of course.

At a press release from :IND NOC it was confirmed that we will be taking more support staffs & officials than athletes. As per IOC policy 1:3 policy will be maintained for accommodation & accreditation in Olympics village. Rest of the support staffs will be put up in a hotel at nearby competition hall/Olympic village with day pass accreditation. The cost for the same will be borne by our sports ministry.
